Board Vice President, Karen Rogers

Jeff and Karen Rogers have been the Directors of Legacy International since they founded the organization in 1987. Their collaboration has produced extremely successful sustainable development initiatives in the fields of rural healthcare, vocational training, orphan care, and feeding programs.

During the worst drought in Zimbabwean history, Karen organized the feeding of over 60,000 rural people per day, mostly children under the age of five. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, her feeding model won Child Legacy International the support and cooperation of the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Welfare, as well as the British High Commission. In addition, Jeff and Karen have worked with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Embassy of the United States of America, and the Canadian High Commission in Zimbabwe for Child Legacy's program development.

Continuing to operate their African humanitarian programs from the United States, in 2001, they left Zimbabwe - their home together for over twenty years - to inform the U.S. State Department of the political, social, and economic destruction precipitated by Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe. Jeff has spent much of the last three years advocating in Washington DC for the Zimbabwe crisis and other internatoinal humanitarian efforts. In doing so, he has earned the admiration and support of multiple Members of Congress and the U.S. African Subcommittee.

Board Secretary, Dr. Carl Conley
Carl has earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Theology, a Doctorate in Law, and a Doctorate in International Law. In addition, he is qualified as a Securities Broker and Financial Principal, serving as a consultant to major international organizations in the areas of legal, financial and administrative concerns.

Carl is a specialist in both field development and management. His tremendous value to Child Legacy International is due in part to more than 20 years as a director of international humanitarian endeavors and community development. In addition, Carl serves as President of The Life Link, an international human service organization, and on the boards of multiple other international corporations.

Board Member, Shirley Rogers
Shirley Rogers has participated in the growth and development of thousands of elementary and secondary students throughout her career.

An active board member since CLI first began, her knowledge and experience with the youth is essential to Child Legacy’s educational programs.

With an extensive background in general bookkeeping, accounting, and administration, Shirley maximizes Child Legacy’s organizational standards of integrity and excellence.

Board Member, Louise Brock
Louise Brock is the original founder of two thriving non-denominational churches in Tucson, Arizona.

An internationally-minded humanitarian, she is a sought after speaker all across the United States as well as in England, Canada, Haiti, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Botswana, Australia, and the Philippines.

Her experience and compassion for people brings an innovative perspective to CLI’s Board.
